No rule against not winning your conference. Even if they shouldn't have been there...like you say...they beat the frick out of us. So now some of you morons say they shouldn't have been allowed to beat us silly.
Do tell why the last year was questionable? Why shouldn't that one count?

They got to the game. They won that game because they knocked Colt McCoy out of the game in the first quarter and from there, faced a true freshman at QB.
Now any team would capitalize on that, not just Bama. As much as I hate to say it.
Again, as much as I hate to say it, Bama pulled it together after their close win against us and their loss to A&M and won the rest of their games. And everything that we thought would happen against an undefeated Notre Dame team happened.
The 2011 year, as far as Bama is concerned, was crap. The way it was handled. We beat them. On the road. Period. It counts when they beat us (see last season). Why shouldn't our win count? I don't care how good they are. We won. Call us crybabies or whatever but that's the reality. That should've been the end of it. Bring in the next team in line, which would've been Ok. State.
It wouldn't have happened to any other team.
A team for the SEC east, I could see, but not a team from the west that we already beat. The wins need to count.
