I once heard a former LSU coach say that sometimes it's not the recruits that you don't sign, but it's the ones that you do that set the program back.

If Harris signs with Auburn it will be because of Malzahn (and Dameyune Craig, who is an excellent recruiter).
If he signs with LSU it will be DESPITE Les's reputation with offenses and QB;'s in particular.
You can argue with Harris' choices, but he would not be "stupid" to pick Auburn under these circumstances. Until Les shows he will allow Cam to run his own show, the questions about Les and the LSU passing game will persist.

I think the Perrilloux saga tells a different story.

Part of the reason you stock QBs is you know QBs won't stay. It's not like RB where there will be a stable. For example, if Jennings continues to be the clear choice among the 2013 QBs, I would not expect Rettig to complete his career at LSU. He'll look for somewhere else where he has a chance to play. Same with Rivers if Jennings emerges as the No. 2 (some say that's already happened, but I'm not so sure).

So let's say Rettig and Rivers transfer after this year, then Bolden re-injures his knee (or whatever his injury is). If you don't sign a QB (and have him ready for spring), you are now down to Jennings and the next Andrew Hatch (Kragthorpe?).

To me, you need to bring in a QB in every class and anticipate QBs leaving
