It's no contest for DiNardo. Recruiting is far and away the most important part of college coaching and DiNardo could recruit. He left Saban with some decent talent. When Hallman took over for Archer, the talent at LSU was embarrassingly low.

Where you could debate is who was worse out of Archer and Hallman, but DiNardo was much, much better than either.

Absolutely disagree with this. It's only half the equation. The other half is taking maximum advantage of the talent you now have and making them play to their true potential via creative play calling. There's been a long run of (offensive) talent-squandering in recent years at LSU. And don't give me that 10-Win BS.

this. if he could have picked asst.s he would have had a long career at lsu.
