I've been focusing on shoulder postitioning and moving my weight from the inside of my right knee to my left. I hit the ball very well yesterday, but it was a par 3 course

Don't say but it was a par 3 course. A par 3 is the absolute best place to play when your starting. You work on the scoring shots the whole time. Drives look good, but if you want to learn how to score well, learn to chip and put like a wild man. The long game can come later but nothing is better then getting a great short game.

Harvey Pennick said golfers should learn how to play from the hole back. Work on putting the most, chipping next, easy 3/4 irons shots, and spend the least amount of time on driver.
