if it makes the game more "national"... i.e. teams from the midwest, west, etc. can now compete better, then there is NO WAY the bats get significantly improved.

there have been attempts to cure the "problem" of having no Big 10 or Northern teams in Omaha for a long time. problem appears to be solved.

There is nothing "national" about games finishing 2-1, 2-1, 2-0, and 1-0. These types of games are acceptable in the MLB because it is always the case of two great pitchers shutting down great hitters.

UNC scored plenty of runs, two of them with a long ball.

The bats aren't changing because LSU fans have sour grapes. I swear we're starting to sound like a collective of Jim Tressels bitching about how this used to be a game of honor when the chips were falling our way.

The new PC game of NCAA baseball. Why not just pull names out of a hat to be the winner of the CWS. outcome based baseball.
