Plutko would have started for any SEC team except maybe Vandy.

Thorton would have been a top reliever for just about any SEC team except maybe MSU and LSU.

I agree with you that our approach at the plate sucked like it has for a while, but to discount the level of competition in Omaha is a little off base IMO.

Agree on Gray....although Plutko and Thorton were easily on Overton's level if not above it.

I didn't mean to discount the competition. They were quality pitchers. I was just saying that they werent anything greater than what LSU has seen all year. I don't think anyone would argue they werent near the level of Gray or Rodon from NC State, though.
