Hitting is contagious. So is not hitting.

I noticed we were swinging at a lot of pitches outside the strike zone in Omaha. Maybe just over eager/excited instead of being patient at the plate.

LSU was swinging for the fences in a big park against good pitching and inconsistent umps.

Recipe for failure...

I was surprised to hear Mainieri say in a post-game interview that he thought the team was "too tentative" at the plate. I thought we were too aggressive and failed to constantly let the pitcher off the hook by swinging at the first pitch that came along and popping it up.
