think about it like this

The average NBA player is 6'8, the average male is 5'10. So that's 10 inches, plus if their wingspan is their body height, that's 5 inches per hand, so 15 inches higher of reach upwards (at least). And I would bet the average NBA players vertical is at least 9 inches higher than the average person.

So there is 24 inches of a vertical advantage at least

I get height and reach but you really want to count vertical leap?
