The Boston Celtics are deep in discussions with the Los Angeles Clippers on a blockbuster deal to send coach Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett to Los Angeles, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The final hurdle of a deal centers on the Clippers' willingness to include guard Eric Bledsoe into a trade package with Boston, sources said.

Boston and Los Angeles are discussing a package that will send DeAndre Jordan and two first-round picks to the Celtics for Garnett and the right to hire Rivers as coach, sources said.
Garnett will waive his no-trade clause to go to the Clippers, where he'll be reunited with Rivers. Celtics assistant Ty Lue also will likely join them in Los Angeles, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

To be clear: Rivers can't technically be part of trade, but Celtics would release him from contractual obligations based on deal package.

Dumb trade for the Clippers. Also, sounds like Pierce would be part of the deal as well. If I was Boston, I would do it...

That would have to mean the Celtics would be looking to move Rondo soon

This is one of those rare trades that's fricking stupid for both teams.

If Blake couldn't handle getting emasculated by CP3 then Lord help him if KG gets added to the equation.

Blake Griffin alongside Kevin Garnett is better than being around DeAndre Jordan. Garnett can stretch the floor and not have Griffin worry about trying to hit a jumper. It's also a big man that can actually be on the floor at the end of games because he can make free throws. Also, Doc Rivers can actually coach so there's another upgrade.

If the Clippers do this, then they're selling out for next year. The Celtics would proceed to blow it up.

Exactly, now Blake will have two veterans (maybe 3 if Pierce is included) yelling at him. Dude is gonna have a mental breakdown

I'm under the assumption that the organization feels Jordan is what's keeping Blake from growing up. They are really good friends, and Jordan is always pissed about his minutes being so low and not closing games.

I think it's a good deal for both teams honestly. I think the picks are a bit much, but they're late first rounders, not worth a whole lot.

Also, I don't think Pierce is involved in this deal, unless Butler is involved too. Clippers really need to hold onto Bledsoe though. They can get a better package for him.

Jeezus, there is only 1 damn ball how do they find time to split enough shots amongst...

Chris Paul
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Blake Griffin
Jamal Crawford
Chauncey Billups

I thought Blake Griffin was the GOAT power forward in waiting for the NBA, seems to me like he'll be relegated to 14-9 with that squad, if that. Pierce will be the alpha dog followed by CP3,KG,Jamal crawford and then blake in the crunch time pecking order

as a rockets fan, Id love bledsoe over lin any day of the week

at this made up storyline. The only friction between Blake and CP3 was if they should play fast vs slow and that only existed because VDN doesn't know how to coach
