I wish MS would have just bit the bullet and gone 100% digital with xbone. People aren't going to see the benefits until it kicks them in the nuts.
Part of the problem MS is having is trying to shift to all digital while still catering to mouth breathers who love the status quo.

I can game on PC without DRM from cracks, with better graphics and more utility from my device.
I'm saying the game library is going to have to be pretty damn good to make me shell out the dosh for a console that has no empiric advantage over my computer.
And for all I know it will. I'm not trying to shite all over Xone for the sake of shitting on it, I totally see some advantages such as lowering gaming price (although some PC games still release at 60, interested to see how it impacts consoles), but for me, personally, it's just another reason to invest the money into a PC upgrade instead of buying a console.

The pricing is the biggest reason and what you seem to lose grasp of.
Console doesn't have this pricing and never will with physical copies hampering the market IMO.

Huh? How so?
Big title PC games digitally are the same price no?
CoD Ghosts preorder, 59.99, Batman Arkham Origins preorder 59.99.

It would have been the best thing to do IMO. They said they almost did but it would too much all at once they thought.

I agree with what you are saying but not everyone wants to fool with or game on a PC. There will always be a market for consoles and if they can have a Steam like marketplace with the pricing structure of it then consoles will last that much longer.

CoD is the only game I have seen release at full price in the past year.

I haven't paid $60 for a new game on pre order or release day in over a year now.
CoD may be full price on release but this is a Steam key and you get another 25% off of it right now so it would be $37.49 for Batman pre-ordered.

Bioshock: infinite is currently 59.99
Posted on 6/13/13 at 9:57 pm to stout
Diablo 3 was 59.99, Company of Heroes 2 preorder is 59.99, Bioshock is 59.99.
Seems like all the bigger titles are 59.99.
If you are talking offering better discounts and better sales then sure, they could offer some better I guess, but PS+ does a pretty good job of that already offering free games monthly and not small titles, and big discounts to games.
I think you just never realized how advanced PS+ actually is but of course you'd never admit that so it's okay.

A fair point, it's possible a lot of the people who would switch to PC already have, or would no matter what consoles can or cannot do. My opinion of Xone's delivery system is purely a product of my own perceptions and it's probably a little unfair of me to judge a console from a master-race standard; the console always loses.

Again, you can get an additional 25% off of it too with the coupon GMG has on the front page.
Honestly, I only steal games or buy them from steam sales nowadays, so I didn't even know this site existed. Cheers

I have PS+ actually. Going on 3 years now I think?
Don't assume I don't know what it does or doesn't have and am just talking out of my arse.

ETA You are a fool if you ever pay full price (especially at the $60 price point) for a PC/digital game.

I also have had $20 in my PSN wallet for over 2 years now. I need to spend it I guess because they keep sending me e-mails about it. Might go and see what they have on their store tomorrow.

These people crack me up. How hard is to understand that the games won't get cheaper without competition? PC has so many outlets to buy games from that its nearly impossible to pay full price for a game.

Jesus you contradict yourself on every turn.
One thread, digital downloads aren't that great because of Internet bandwidth. Long live GameFly and GameStop!
Next thread, digital downloads are amazing. Look at all these downloads ARGHhH! Now what XBone!

Just saying, PS+ has done very well for the digital steam like setup and you can fight that all you want.
Pricing is really the only difference between Steam and PS+ anymore, and even then it's pretty small, as I've pointed out 5 titles that are 59.99 as digital downloads on PC.
Steam has bigger sales and coupon codes and mid level titles are $10-20 cheaper new, and even then man I don't know that Steam offers better sales/coupons.
I can get on PS+ right now and download Deus Ex HR (19.99) for free, Uncharted 3 (24.99) free, XCOM (27.99) free, Portal 2 (15.99) for 9.59, AC3 $19.59, Borderlands 2 $19.59.
And plenty more deals.
