McNamara with some interesting analysis of GV from last season.

- Greivis Vasquez needs to play off the ball more next season if he returns. He was fantastic as a spot up shooter and coming off of screens on the weakside. Once he got momentum, he was able to accelerate to the hole. He is too slow to get by his guy on a regular basis at the top of the key, whether it is in isolation or in the pick and roll, but when he came of of screens and got the ball while he was already in motion, he was hard to keep up with. If a true point guard is not added this summer, I fully expect Eric Gordon to be the primary ball handler next year, not Greivis Vasquez.

I'm sorry but Gordon isn't a primary ball handler unless it's in the last 2-3 minutes of the half/game. His ball security isn't good enough to be a primary ball handler. He gets his pocket picked way too often.
Vasquez will easily make a good off guard as he has shown that he can be effective last season. But he will more than likely continue to play both roles regardless of whether we draft/sign another PG.

Its why I don't want to get rid of him. He has the potential to have great value as our 6th or 7th man who could come off the bench as our backup PG or play WITH the starting PG, off the ball.
Its also easy to crap on Vasquez and pick him apart in retrospect, but he kept our offense going for much of the season when we had absolutely nobody else capable of doing it. Gordon wasn't there, Rivers was lost, and Brian Roberts still had no clue.

That's interesting.
Am curious to know the synergy numbers on Vasquez in those two situatioms- spot up and curler
