Mike Smith doesn't sniff that list. He's got a ton of talent he can do nothing with.

Jim Harbaugh definitely belongs there. He took a team Singletary couldn't get to .500 and almost reached back to back Super Bowls. And I hate that motherfricker.

Some of you need to get the homerism out of your system. Mike Smith is a really good coach. He hasn't fared too well against NO as an overall record but that's not what this stat is about.

He hasn't done anything with that talent? They almost made it to the Super Bowl last year man. The few playoff games before that, they simply ran into buzzsaw of teams that went on to win the Super Bowl.

Now, I will say the Top 5 might be a bit high for him. I'd put him in the top 10. Also, I'd put Payton in the top 5-10 range as well. I really think this will be a good year to see what Payton is as a coach. If the Saints don't make the playoffs, people should get off his jock a bit and realize Payton might just be a product of Drew Brees's domination on the field the previous 5-6 years.
