Is there any advantage to us finishing 1-2 days earlier than errbody else?

Well thats the crux about baseball. If you sit too long, you will start to rust. I think Maneiri should have tried to discreetly throw the game last night. Playing today would have helped a lot more than us resting. Tough to do that though. Glad the boys are in Omaha but Im worried...

What are you worried about? Going to Omaha with an extra couple days of rest?

Yeah, it's freaking us all out.

No. There is no baseball advantage for us. Teams all have plenty of rest and everyone's entire pitching staff will e rested and ready to go.

Well, the other teams on LSU's side of the bracket should have finished yesterday or today without the weather issues. One for sure is finishing tomorrow with the other potentially going to the if necessary. They'll obviously be going on shorter rest than LSU.

I don't see this as being a problem.

Not much. Everyone is getting enough rest that their pitchers will be available. Unless you have a guy who is playing through an injury that would really benefit from a couple extra days off, I don't see much of a difference.

Now, even though they only played two games, UCLA did use Berg for almost 5 innings. He'll definitely be available, and he's a work horse of a closer, but you never know, it could affect him.
