Ridgewood BBQ..Bluff City, TN..Sliced pork sandwich...one of a kind tomato/vinegar/chili powder?? sauce...crave it at least monthly...will drive 90 miles out of my if I am close.

Chopped spiny lobster with veggies wrapped in phyllo and baked, topped with a white wine/butter sauce is pretty kicking. In the islands the lobster was alive a few hours before being served.

I can see where Degas is coming from with the corn. Lots of farms here in Jersey and when you get it fresh at the farm you can eat it raw and it is wonderful. Same for it being grilled.
I feel the same way about creole tomatoes, straight out the garden with a little salt is fantastic. And the memories it brings back lend to the thought of it being among the best bites of food.
As far as it being a meal, my grandmothers crawfish bisque but again that is tied to a memory.
So if we are talking restaurant, I would go with the southern fried chicken at Momofuko in NYC
