Jeff Davis was on the After Buzz TV Teen Wolf after show and was asked about Deucalion and he said we aren't done with him and that we will find out what is going on with him when the show returns.

He also said there is something about the twins. He worded it that something is "broken". I'm guessing they can't merge together anymore

Probably the case, or that they can't turn at all. That would be crazy.
Deucalion is the wild card, they left so much open that no one really knows wtf is going on with him.
