Considering these are probably some of the folks that sat on wooden bleachers before there were super-sized scoreboards. My dad carried his LSU bag -- inside was program for that day's game, his copy of roster from beginning of season, binoculars, head phone radio. Then when LSU started using the souvenir cups, he'd take those home (along with a few extras). But I'd give anything to be able to have another over-loaded-bag game at Tiger Stadium with my dad. And he gave to LSU after attending in late 30's until the Alzheimer's kicked in. But then I continued with the donations and tickets. Oh and we never left before the scoreboard clock read 00:00 Horrors --- no way ....

That hit close to home. I can remember attending games with my dad when I was knee high, sitting out in the bleachers, waiting after the game for the players to walk out and sign something. We kept going to games for years and years, it was "our thing," burning hot games, freezing cold games, games with run away wins, and horrid losses. He did get to see the first year of the new stadium and the team go to Omaha before he passed. And yes, for years he brought "extra stuff" to the games (always had to have his Tab drink).
