Anyone else working on anything?
Funny you should ask. I recently "rescued" a Pearl Forum kit from the attic it's been sitting in for three years (18" kick, 10" rack tom, 14" floor).
I put new batter heads on both toms today, along with a new Emad 2 on the kick batter and (because its kind-of a tradition for me) a Remo Fiberskyn on the resonant side of the kick...because I like the way it looks. Those two heads made that little neglected 18" kick go from sounding like a garbage can to sounding like Bonzo's 26". Well...at least in my head it does. Those old heads sounded as awful as they possibly could.
I also got all the rust off the stands, tuning lugs and other hardware. Can't wait to use it at my next rehearsal...

I got to use a tunebot this weekend. I normally don't use that type of thing but wow. My kit hasn't sounded this good ever. Nor has it ever tuned that easily and quickly. To top it off I FINALLY GOT MY 16X16 SOUNDING GOOD!!!! That alone convinced me
I really wanna do a rescue/rebuild project but I can't find any decent kits for my budget.
