A part of one of the greatest American bands.
Waiting for an official link. All over The Doors' official Facebook page and Twitter.

Extremely sad news.
The Doors are my favorite band and were my transition into all the great music of the 60s; I have a signed poster of all the members other than Jim.
Saw Ray & Robby play at House of Blues in Houston a couple years ago.

Halfway to a Doors reunion on the other side.

He produced X's first two albums, both of which are classics. He was much more than just the Doors. His career continued.
RIP.

The Doors were one of the first bands I really got into on more than just a casual level. I was around 11 when I first started listening to them. This is sad indeed.

Out of all the great bands I was fortunate enough to see in their heyday, I am sorry to say I never got to see the Doors. They were definitely trendsetters. RIP, Ray.

Breaking on through to the other side....
Not a Doors fan as I thought they were a bit overrated but death of a lead singer can do that to a band. With that said, I recognize their place in music history and I did enjoy some of their songs. I do think Ray was a talented musician who got overshadowed.
