Buy a Honda generator. It will be cheaper and a lot less of a pain in the arse.

Already have a generator there. Don't want to have to run it just for lights and fans.

This. How you can you get by with just a fan in the summer? You need a gen to push the a/c

I agree with this. Solar panels are not a simple installation. To use for lighting, you need batteries, which greatly increases cost. Also, the batteries often require a lot of maintenance and a dedicated location.
