I said that relative to the two cities that surround it. New Orleans and Lafayette are both outstanding.

Fair enough on Gino's. But the consistency on he Italian dishes at Ruffinos isn't as good as Niño and Gino. I've had pasta come out at a poor consistency and have found the execution to be OK at best on sauces and whatnot.

If I'm going to Ruffino's it's not for Italian dishes. Perhaps the Fish Katie, but that's more of a Lousiana dish to me.

Lafayette is not an outstanding restaurant city. It does a few things very well but it is lacking in variety and higher end dining. Ruffino's will be a valuable addition there.
