Not being defensive. At no point have I defended the name or said why anyone should like it. I'm just giving a peek behind the curtain for those that are curious.

The idea that some people won't like the name is expected. On the other hand, I'm explaining why some of the criticism really is sort of weak. There's no need to criticize it weakly. "I don't like it" is just fine.

The lack of "Pelicans" is beyond control, really. This is was some advice that came from a highly placed friend.

Many avian references also point to Hawks.

And on, and on.

It was not my first choice, and I don't think it was anyone's first choice. Coming up with a good idea that no one has come up with (otherwise, they cost money, like $50k or more in some cases), is difficult.

So, we choose, we move on.
