Leg strength has very little to do with it. Especially lower leg strength. Velocity comes from pelvis rotation and weight transfer. Jonathan Broxton and Tim Lincecum have about the same velocity. One guy weighs over 300 lbs and the other guy weighs 175.

Disagree. While velocity does come from hip to shoulder separation, leg strength plays a big part in that for most. To get optimal hip to shoulder separation, these guys get triple extension. Which takes powerful legs. I don't know a whole lot of guys that throw 90but the few I do all have very powerful legs. All have verticals close to 35 inches and can squat a ton.

That probably just means they have a similar power to weight ratio.
Ofcourse that huge size advantage Broxton has allows him to be a little less powerful and still throw as hard.
