re: Beretta .380 Cheetah

I would like to carry in my pocket, I think. I don't carry now though so really I don't know which way I would prefer to be honest.
It is a full size .380 which is one of my concerns of how well it would fit in a pocket. I have shot a LCP before and thought it was too small for my hand. I guess I need to look more in to the P380, and P238.
I've always been a little partial towards beretta because I grew up shooting beretta shotguns and pistols my whole life, which is why the cheetah caught my interest.
Thanks for the advice
ETA: Actually think I may end up going with a Sig P290 after further thought, it seems like a 9 that could still fit in a pocket. That Beretta was just on my mind, still may end up getting it one day.

P238.
Bought one a couple weeks ago for pocket carry. Nice little gun and has eaten anything I put in it so far. I HATE DAO guns, my wife has a bodyguard she carries in her purse. She likes it fine, but the trigger pull is a couple miles ling at best. I carry the P238 in condition 1 just like my 1911s.

Bapple's post is spot on.
Depending on the clothes and the gun, there are situations where a small 9mm can be pocket carried. I have a Kel-Tec PF9 that is frequently carried in the right front pocket during the spring/summer. It fits well in cargo/carpenters type pants/jeans and some dress pants. OTOH, if you HAVE to be able to pocket carry in all clothes, you'll need to go the route of a 380 pocket pistol. When the clothing dictates that, I pocket carry a Kel-Tec P3-AT; it fits in the right front pocket of everything except a few jeans.
Small 9mm's to look at for pocket carry (some may fit, some may not) in certain pants/shorts:
KT PF9
Sig 290/938
Kahr CM9/PM9/CW9
Ruger LC9
Taurus Slim
Diamondback 9
Beretta Nano
Kimber Solo
S&W Shield
Springfield XDs 9 (someday????)
My personal preference of action for pocket carry is a DAO.
