See, its kind of weird how fishermen are. This thread was about etiquette and everyone wants to start throwing out what's legal. I mean frick, its legal for me to pull up 5 feet from your boat and cast in your fricking hole too. So i'll throw the legal zoom books at you when fishing.

The etiquette was already discussed. As long as he's not sitting on the dock fishing it, it is fine. If he was sitting inside drinking his morning coffee and came running out of the house to be a dick, then frick him.

Like everyone has said already, there is nothing wrong with fishing a dock on a public lake if (a) the owners aren't fishing it already and (b) kids aren't swimming in the water.

so tell me, at what point does would one not fish around a dock? should you just fish around it, then move on? is it rude to park up next to it for an hour?
