Don't get me wrong, I loved book two also. I've read most of Crichton's books multiple times, except for State of Fear. Not much of a fan.
If you've never read Timeline, you should get on that. Great book. Don't watch the movie though.

I enjoyed movie 3. Lost World was so slow and bored me to tears. About the only part I did like was in San Diego.
