Which effort/outcome would you prefer for your favorite teams in any sport?

Would you rather pull for a team of lesser talented players that gave their all every night/game but have a sub .500 regular season. They are still respectable but say they only win like 40% of their games and no postseason.
or
a team of really talented players that never really give max effort(and the lack of effort is obvious on the court/field etc) but still manage to win 60% of their regular season and make the postseason?

I don't even see how this is possible. What sport are we talking about here?

So Pelicans or Heat?
Pelicans

While unlikely I think it would be possible in all the major American team sports.
Keep in mind I said sport so that doesn't mean just pro teams where that would really be unlikely bc of the smaller differences in talent.
Lower levels of just about any sport though I think you could find examples of teams with winning records that don't necessarily play with max effort and win mainly on being that much more talented than the opposition.

The Heat give a ton of effort, from what I have watched.

agree
I didn't really have a specific team in mind for either scenario but I wouldn't put Heat in the latter category.

The winners this isn't gym class, you don't get points for effort. Obviously

Pelicans
1. LBJ gives 100000x the effort fricking Eric Gordan gives (How i hate eric Gordon)
2. the Heat are a lotbetter than 60% and the Pelicans (go Pels) are so far undefeated however the hornets were slightly below 40%
3. I always root for the hometown team, but i think he means which would you rather be the team you root for.

The better comparison would be the pelicans and lakers.

That is actually a great question.
Right away I thought, no brainer, give me the winning team. But, it would have to be super frustrating to see a good team continually lose in the playoffs because they weren't giving max effort.
But you didn't say they would actually lose in the playoffs, so I'll go with the winners.

i've seen too many untalented teams to personally enjoy giving E's for effort...
