Disagree about them not working. Also disagree with the statement that he would have died w/out it.

I worked with a state wildlife department years ago. Extraction kits were standard equipment, and the department had experience with snakebites.

Granted, they will not remove all venom, and you are going to have serious damage regardless. But if you can remove some venom, you're better off.
