I think Yellows do better in the heat than Blacks. From what I have seen of the dogs there is no difference.

I would look at a Wildrose Lab, yellow or black.

Keep away from the white yellow and the red. Not that they cant be great dogs, but check out the bloodlines. Some of the breeding has been done purely on coat color.

Chocolates are the most attractive IMO. You rarely see them hunting though it seems.

I once read an article from a lab trainer that said there are differences between the colors. Black was most dependable, yellows were sort of sneaky, and chocolates were easily distracted / high strung.
