I admire you for checking the laws, but I travel with mine through any state I want and if I have to use it I will tell the jury that I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

I understand that thought process, but realize it's going to cost you a minimum of about $50K-100K in legal expenses if you end up in court. Depending on the state, you may also end up w/ a felony offense. Having a CCW license will allow you to legally carry your loaded, and easily accessible, weapon in most all the gulf coast states. If you don't have a CCW, I'd recommend geting one. It's worth it for a number of reasons.
