If it's EBR this isn't a problem anyway. EBR cops are famous for not responding to shootings.
Gotta focus on the important things. Like setting up more inspection sticker checkpoints!

Umm both of these are against the law dumb arse.
Loud music and peeling out? No they are not. They could be used to support a charge of Disturbing the Peace, or Reckless Operation of a Vehicle. But there's no law against them by themselves, as that would be ridiculous. Imagine getting a ticket every time you make your tires squeal.
Besides, the cop was investigating where the car was parked. I don't see anything about any neighbors reporting a Disturbance of the Peace. And as long as Simon did not put anyone in danger by "peeling out" then so what?

Mom and Dad taught me to respect authority. Yes, cops are the authority. Whether they are bullies or good guys, they are still in control. Yes sir and No sir coupled with humility will disarm even the power hungry individual. It is all in how you treat people you know.....

lot of assumptions for you to make in order to reach your hypocrite conclusion.
Aren't the eunice cops the ones who arrest people for recording them?

Honest question. Do you respect your elders or did they have to earn it?

You don't have to respect the cop as a person, but kiss his arse to whatever extent necessary to avoid a ticket

You need to turn that shite down when you roll through my neighborhood, bro. And when you pull in to get gas and there are non "black guys" around. It's inconsiderate and trashy and harms race relations.
I know. Usually when I'm pulling up somewhere or coming down the street where I live I turn it down to not mess with the folks I live by. But still the majority bang it high from starting it up to turning it off. Both of 2 of my older brothers are like that.

I'm polite to everyone. Being polite =/ respect.

well looks like the cops must a really been busy saving lives, fighting fires and arresting murders and rapist. Yet they found the time to arrest a kid over a parking violation in front of his grandma's house.
its Eunice man. not New Orleans. nothing ever happens there. cop just trying to earn his $150 paycheck.

What you don't realize is that playing your music loud is disturbing the peace and it bothers your neighbors so they call us to handle it. When you play your music loud you disturb people who don't want to hear that music.
Hey I agree man, I'm just telling you that a typical young black male constantly has his music on high unless he sees the cops. I don't believe for a second that he turned his music up to "get back" at the cop. To me it sounds like a black neighborhood where nobody would be bothered by the music but that isn't even the big point of the arrest. I think the cop didn't want to feel shamed in front of all those people which is why he made a bigger deal out of it and I'm banking that Simon was acting like a typical arrogant 20 something when he is told what to do.

lol there is no complaining about not enough cops where I live. People still shoot regardless of cops being around. I have never been arrested or been in any trouble with the police but I see them constantly harassing people for no reason.

So you think just because it is a "black neighborhood" that everyone their wants to hear your loud music? You are wrong about that. Grandma and Grandpa don't want to hear it of feel the walls shaking as you go

Sorry guys, but put a thug back in the ghetto and see whats happens.
WOW! And put a RACIST among the rest of us and, like the true snakes they are, they will bite with their poisonous venom.
Every person who has met him to this point have stated the he was the opposite of a thug. But those of your ilk see one thing, young black male, and group all in one category. And all must be from the ghetto. And all in the ghetto must be thugs. And with those kind, the police is always right.
I believe the world would be better off with more of him and less of you.

What Simon did not say was whether he was drinking while hanging at his grandmother's house.
I guarantee if he had it would be in the police report and public intoxication would have been charged. No other possible charges would have been overlooked and left out.
