If Only We Had the Dome Patrol Today

Man, thinking about the Dome Patrol and how they used to dominate back in the day, can you imagine how successful the Saints would be if they were playing today? With the offense being one of the best year after year, and the defense being so-so at best, if we had the Dome Patrol right now, the Saints would be unstoppable. Sam Mills, Pat Swilling, Rickey Jackson, Vaughan Johnson, man, it would be awesome! What do you guys think?

I see your point lighter, but with the defense dragging the Saints down for years, I think you can understand my point when I say that if we had an above-average defense, the Saints would be challenging for the Super Bowl every year instead of finishing 7-9 like they did last year.

And we couldn't afford the Dome Patrol back then. We had to trade Pat Swilling because we couldn't afford to keep him. And I don't know if that secondary would hold up to today's passing offenses.

Okay lol, I think you guys are missing the point of the thread. Okay, back in the 80's and 90's, the Saints had a great defense, but didn't have the dynamic offense we have today to go with it. I'm saying if you put the two together, you have an awesome combination that is going to win a bunch of games, no doubt.

Okay Fear the Hat, I'm new to Tiger Droppings, so if you could fill me in on where I went wrong with this particular thread, that would be cool. Hey, I've been following LSU and the Saints for a long time, but am new to this site, so if the topic was off, I appreciate constructive criticism.
