NFL.com graded Thomas as the 68th best prospect in the draft and Thomas was the highest graded player not drafted. The former Stanford outside linebacker actually rated higher than Wisconsin center Travis Frederick, the Cowboys' first-round pick, and only a slightly lower grade than first-rounders safety Matt Elam and defensive tackle Sylvester Williams. NFLDraftScout.com slotted Thomas (6-3, 244) as a third- or fourth-round pick.

Kevin Reddick (6-2, 243) also held high rankings entering the draft. NFLDraftScout.com rated the former North Carolina standout as the fifth-best inside linebacker in the draft and slated him as a fourth or fifth round pick. NFL.com graded Reddick higher than other draft picks like Texas A&M's Christine Michael, LSU's Sam Montgomery and Mississippi State's Darius Slay.

Didn't you read his scouting report? He's nothing but the next Scott Shanle if you take off the "black and gold blinders"

Someone obviously hasn't been reading the board enough

That's crazy, but I still won't get my hopes up for an UDFA unless he's a RB. We seem to do alright with those.

After every major event (free agency, draft) the idiots come out

Eh, shanle was a solid contributor and starter for a Super Bowl team. That's not too bad to hope for for an UDFA. Obviously I realize the intent of that thread but Chase Thomas should hope to be as good as shanle. He's had a decent career considering and Thomas is starting at the bottom.
