Who amongst us were not stirred by the Penguins 42 consecutive games in the Spectrum without a win (0-39-3) from 1975-1989? That was a rivalry that people write songs about.

But as a huge Penguins fan, I'm sure that still sticks in your craw and explains the big envy you have for the Flyers. Man, if one team had owned my arse for two decades like that, I'd still be obsessed, too.

I wasn't alive then, so no, it doesn't bother me a bit.

It's fun with rivalries, I'll give you that, but when the other team hasn't won a cup in 30 years, have less Cups than you, it makes for some pretty funny jokes at their expense.

The Flyers may be the new Chicago Cubs at this rate.
