How do you think they get the camo on every camo shotgun you see new in stores? Dipped guns are very tough. Granted not as tough as cerakote but they are rugged nonetheless. I know they sure help with any rust prevention on my duck guns

factory dipping on metal before any environmental factors effect it is a whole different animal. and a lot of those finishes are not as tough as you think.

the system that Benelli has will be very different than billbobs hydro dipping as will the macro and micro environment they will be dipping in.
