Anyone here do it or ever tried it.
I thought about trying out a starter kit on my old hi point 9 and seeing how it turns out and then doing it on the side for me and my friends.

Way more involved than just dipping and drying. I'd let someone who knows how it works do it if it was a gun you're fond of

I looked into having my bow hydrodipped. I'm sending my old ow to my big bro. He shoots 3D tourneys and may have it dipped. I'd start with something I had no problems ruining if I decided to undertake this initiative.

I'm not worried about my old hi point.
YouTube videos makes it look like anyone with a little common sense and ability can do it with some practice and patience.

My brother had his revolver grip done there and it looks great. I don't have any personal experience with them and that's the only products I've seen.

Definitely not something I would want to trial and error with unless its a junky gun. I've had my SBEII and my girlfriend's Beretta AL391 both dipped. I've had great experiences with the company I used. Unfortunately they're in North Alabama, so unless you wanna ship it I'm no help. Check out

They do awesome work dipping and cerakoting

How do you think they get the camo on every camo shotgun you see new in stores? Dipped guns are very tough. Granted not as tough as cerakote but they are rugged nonetheless. I know they sure help with any rust prevention on my duck guns

factory dipping on metal before any environmental factors effect it is a whole different animal. and a lot of those finishes are not as tough as you think.
the system that Benelli has will be very different than billbobs hydro dipping as will the macro and micro environment they will be dipping in.

This is the biggest reason to go with a reputable company when getting a gun dipped.

Actually the way they are dipped is the same. As for the enviroment of the shop that's another reason to go with a reputable company. Hydrodip is a lot like other things in regards to you get what you pay for. The company I always use backs their products 100%. They are very thorough in their prep work and use multiple clear coats for extra protection. Of course it costs more this way,but its well worth it. It costs me $225 plus a $15 licensing fee if I use Realtree or Mossy Oak patterns. I'll post some pics later of their work and you can judge it for yourself
