I'm looking at one now. Should I buy it?

The trigger pull is a nightmare. I would rather something I don't need a come along to pull the trigger.

:Sig238:
I was flip flopping between LCP and the Bodyguard. Finally decided I wanted the Kahr CW380 that came out in January but couldn't wait. Saw a Sig P238 and got it. Couldn't be happier. The trigger and the sights are the difference maker to me. Add the 7+1 mag that gets the pinky on there and Hogue grip. Feels and shoots great.

Thanks for the info. Guy at the counter said the same thing. Ended up getting the bodyguard w/ a laser.

That's a stock pic but mine's just like it. I have a BIG dilemma now though. Mr. Skuter and I did a CCW class in March. She shot a .38 but hated the recoil. Instructor told her that she could carry a .22 WMR. I really didn't like that idea but she got it in her mind since then. I got the Sig in April but have not told her about it. Today I took here in Academy and made her hold the Sig, rack the Sig...etc. She like it a lot. She then said " I really need to shoot one though, do you know where I can shoot one to decide?" :crickets: I might have to fess up and let her shoot mine and get her another one.

Yeah, I didn't like the fact that the slide didn't lock, didn't like the lack of a safety (for the wife's sake), and the laser button on it felt cheap and flimsy. I liked everything about the bodyguard. Laser is just a button instead of a stick, and I can reach it easier. The slide locks back after last shot, and the trigger is an easy pull. The extra $40 was a no brainwr.

Does she carry in her purse?
If so why get a small gun.

369 is high. I have an LCP and it's fine for what it was designed for ... a pocket gun. Something you slip in your pocket for a quick run to the grocery store.
if you are looking for a full time CCW then there are much better options on the market.
The LCP drawbacks that I see are ...
- fixed sights
- long trigger pull (but this is negated somewhat in my mind because of the lack of a safety and in a fight or flight situation you will not be lacking in adrenaline to pull the trigger)
- Lack of a slide lock when empty
The last one is what makes it not full time CCW worthy IMO.

Very high. Glad you didn't buy it.
I would suggest a Kahr CW380 or P380. They are the best pocket 380s on the market in my opinion.

Did I do well at 409 with the bodyguard? Don't know why, but I really wanted a laser. Of course i haven't shot it yet, so that will be the big teller. I wasn't expecting to buy one, so I really haven't researched them much. My wife took me by surprise when she told me I should get one, while I was standing there admiring. After holding them both, I knew I wanted it over the Ruger.
They had a nickel Sig with pink grips at she was eyeing. I think she let me get mine so i'd get her that for Mother's day.
