Birth. Second Generation on my Dads side, third generation on my moms side.

Grew up on the LSU lakes. I've never lived more than 1/2 mile off campus.

That's crazy man. I love LSU, but move away for a bit. You'll appreciate it (either the outside world or how much you miss home).

Became a Tiger fan in the 8th grade after watching them win the conference title game in 2001.

Around '85. Born in Alexandria. Military brat. My moms side of the fam are all La natives. A few are LSU grads. Did 2 diff stents in La growing up. My dad tried to raise me on his Ga bulldogs, but I always knew I was different. There was something that made me different from my family and friends. I came out to my dad as a tiger fan in '85. Couldn't deny who I was any longer. I was born that way. Not a choice. I have lived in the metro ATL area since '83. Paid for college out of my own pocket while working full time as a paramedic. So, I just couldn't swing the out of state to Baton Rouge. Saw the tigers win their first CWS right after my HS graduation. Went to my first fb game sept of '94 vs. Moo St. Saw Kennison's 100+ punt return td. One of the 5 greatest days of my life. Got to walk onto the field the next day. That was a feeling between seeing the resurrection and "field of dreams".

damn son

Really wish I would've grown up closer to campus...there are lots of games I wish I'd gone to, and I'm regretful that I didn't go to my first LSU Baseball game until 2008, first basketball probably not until 2011.

It's hard to say for me. Unlike many of you, I wasn't born an LSU Tiger or had any family that was one.

We grew up waaaay down the bayou in the 70's, and had no real connection to the university, other than watching the football team on TV, and that was not often. We also didn't have a lot of money, so we didn't go to any games, either.

My first LSU game was when Washington visited LSU in 1983. We had to save up so we could go and see a bigtime college game for the first time.

I think the fact that we had to sacrifice to attend made it mean so much more to me. That's when the seed was planted.

I became an LSU Tiger and swore to make it there when I saw Tommy Hodson and Eric Andolsek make the team. These were guys from my neck of the woods, and when I saw them make it, I knew I could go to LSU, too. I never had any thought of going anywhere else.

I was the first person in my family to get a degree from LSU. My dad, my older brother, my sister and all my cousins followed.

I wasn't born a Tiger, but I was always meant to be one, even when I didn't think I was.

It was amazing. I walked to LSU Football games. I had season tickets in baseball, basketball, and football. My family vacation for about 8 years was going to whatever bowl game LSU made. I was very lucky growing up to be so close to LSU. I will always be a Tiger fan, and I will always suggest others to be also.

When and Why did you become an LSU Tiger?

When I was in 5th grade.

I had lived in BR my whole life, but my start with getting into sports was the 1980-81 LSU basketball team.

Very few games were on television, so I relied mostly on the radio. I never missed a second of any broadcast. My heroes were Durand "Rudy" Macklin, Ethan Martin, Howard "Hi-C" Carter, Greg "The CookieMan" Cook (RIP), Leonard "Swat" Mitchell, and Willie "Super Sub" Sims.

As that team kept winning games and climbing in the polls, I recall turning my jambox on to WFMF on Monday afternoons, waiting for the DJ to announce the new rankings for that week so I could see if the Tigers moved up.

I remember as if it were yesterday knowing the Tigers had clinched another win if the likes of J Bryant Bergeron and Andy Campbell entered the game...

By all accounts, that team was all I talked about! I was sad when the hated Kentucky Wildcats and arch villain Sam Bowie beat LSU on the last day of the regular season to keep the Tigers from a perfect 18-0 SEC mark.

Those Tigers got to play in the Superdome for the regional and just pummeled Arkansas and Wichita State to get to the Final Four. I wasn't too worried about Rudy Macklin's hand....but I didn't know better. The Tigers had Indiana in a close game at halftime, but shot about 2% from the floor in the 2nd half and lost, ending the dream of a championship. That was the only sporting event that ever brought me to tears based on its outcome (although I would later shed a few tears of joy upon winning the first football title)

That team had me hooked on not only LSU sports, but sports in general. The rest is history...

I became a tiger in 1996 at the CWS. I always rooted for the tigers being from Louisiana and my family were all tigers...but I was able to finally start following sports at about 9 years old

Living in Omaha had it's advantages...I've never missed an LSU CWS as long as I've been alive.

HarryCaray- my dad still loves me and has been very accepting of my lifestyle. He calls me and we talk lsu football. He's the first to reach out to me after I experience loss. He even showed his tolerance by attending last season's Chick Fil A bowl with me, and I even got him to don some tiger apparel. I'm the purple and gold sheep of the Ga family. My mom understands- she's Bi. Born in La & raised in Tx. She has allegiance to lsu and UT.

The end of 2003 and 2007. I'm not sure what it was but it made me a fan.

I can't ever remember not being a Tiger. I was just a kid when I went to my first game. My dad didn't go to school there (went to ULL [USL back then]) but I never seriously considered going anywhere else. So I don't know when or how I became a Tiger but it happened before I started forming memories. As far as I know, I was born with this affliction.

Well good....maybe now when the Tigers play in Athens this year and bend the Bulldogs over and shove it in their arse, it won't come as a shock to your dad since you are out!

My earliest LSU memory is the Final Four run in 1981. I became a huge fan then, but it went over the top when I started at LSU in 1990.
