yeah, I'm with you on the yards given up point. If we happened to give up a lot and still win, I could care less.

But a lot of fans are obsessed with those style points... hate to say it but you know its true. A few years ago when we were 13-3, there was enough bitching on this board to make you think we finished 9-7.

Teams are going to get their yards in today's NFL (its just set up that way now) with the newer rules and all. So anyone under the delusion that thinks it doesn't work this way, please, just try and open your eyes. Even the best defenses still struggle in spurts. Look at how the 49ers defense got smoked pretty much that whole first half in the Super Bowl.
