My brother has had one on his spinning reel for a few year and its been bulletproof. He loves the damn thing, which is saying alot because he is a huge snob for fishing tackle.
His other 3 broke pretty easily.

Should I just buy the beginners kit and a complete rod kit and work my way up from there?

I'm stick with falcon or shimano crucial for now but may look at custom rods in the future. I just love my falcon cara's right now.
