Passing up guaranteed millions and risking career ending injury while playing for free is dumb as shite.

So much more to it than just passing up the $$. Like improving and growing up a little more. He has great potential, but there wasn't any real production and def was not efficient as people thought he could be. Barely shot 40% and was a 29% from 3. Sure, he could get hurt. But he will improve by coming back. But everyone in this draft could be hurt at a workout or practice. It's the risk of being an athlete. Can't worry about it.

I mean Porter, Oladipo, Burke, MCW all returned after their freshman year and all drastically improved. If Smart can improve half as much as those others did, he will still be a top 5 player.

Nerlens got hurt in college, he's not going to miss out on any $$.

This is the kids decision and I don't think it's a dumb move at all.

O and eyeryan, Smart is extremely athletic. Had trouble translating it to his game this past year, but he has a very athletic guy with great size for a guard. I think Smart will be very improved next year and still a top 5 guy.

He may test out athletically but it doesn't show up in games. He was a below the rim player all season. In the same way Rivers tested out pretty athletically, but didn't have one dunk his entire rookie year.

He thrived on bully ball against smaller guys in college. He's MKG at the PG position.

And that doesn't matter for shite when you're projected in the top 3.
