He's really going out on a limb there

As a Chelsea fan Ronaldo scares me more than Messi.

At best they are 1a. and 1b. but i don't think the gap is as great as most think.

Ibra said this week that what Messi does is natural, what Ronaldo does is a product of training. Seems to sum it up pretty well...

It's a good assessment. Messi is a damn prodigy while Ronaldo was a really, really good young player who has worked to essentially become good at everything.
It is very evident, however, that Messi has worked really, really damned hard to get where he is today, even if his game isn't nearly as well rounded as Ronaldo's. Messi could have taken the Ronaldinho path to greatness, and he didn't. He could have taken the easy way out to become a brilliant player out wide, and he didn't. I'm not a Messi fan, at all, but if he wanted to be a savant, he could have just stayed out wide.

I'm a Messi fan and I agree completely. I was talking with some friends about this the other day that Ronaldo is an absolute freak athlete but Messi is almost an artist before athlete. Not that he hasn't worked hard or isn't athletic, he just sees things differently than anyone on the planet.

Wasnt Messi on HGH or Roids at some point?

He has/had a growth deficiency. His family couldn't afford the treatment so Barça picked up the tab. His first contract was written on a napkin.

Why do you hate the beautiful game?

This is kind of how I see it. It's just beautiful to watch Messi create, above and beyond the enjoyment of the particular game itself.

frick Beckham. He can't hold a candle to either of them.

Messi is an artist, while Ronaldo is a robot. With that said, Messi has worked as hard as anyone on the planet to get where he is. Anyone who diminishes that is being unfair.
