The sweetness of the Racer X gave it away by the nose. Pliny and Abrassive similar nose. Pliny MUCH smother. Abrassive was abrassive in a good way.

Funny thing is that I never really notices how malty the Racer X was until tonight.

Once I get some Heady in I plan on doing a similar tasting with HT and Pliny. Curious to see how they stack up.

Had Abrasive before and it's a great DIPA, I think Pliny is more balanced so it beats it slightly. Both great beers tho.

Nice little night with those 3.

I had a taste of HoustonChick's blackberry bourbon quad, a bit more of LSUBoo's bourbon barrel imperial stout (excellent) and a rosemary IPA for the road.

Tried a taste of the Abita Lemon Wheat. About as expected. Will not drink again. Then tried a bit of the Abita Select WIP. It wasn't bad, but didn't get much IPA out of it.

Then had the Chafunkta Voo Ka Ray IPA and Old 504 Coffee Vanilla Porter. Very nice.
