Agree and disagree. I agree with you to the extent that I found so many flaws in the movie as a direct result of its supposing to be a prequel of sorts to Alien. That said, had it not been marketed as such or even made as an independent film, I wouldn't have wanted to see it so badly and,, thus, wouldn't have had such expectations.

I'm convinced Lindelof came in, changed the original script and completely focked it up for what was supposed to be a movie with a more linear and logical connection to Alien. Instead, it became the first of the overdone trilogy that Hollywood loves nowadays and now the assbag Lindelof is reportedly not even doing any more in the trilogy!
