I didn't consider that he could be a bastard, I was just thinking it was a recessive gene

yeah i honestly never thought of that either. i thought it was the whole "every time a targyrean (sp?) is born a coin is flipped" thing.

btw this thread is way cooler when people are actually talking about the show.

i know. i come to this thread because it is about the show exclusively. book reader thread is usually bitching about leaving something out/changing something, predicting when something will happen, etc etc. Barring my mishap earlier in this thread, i promise i have been good in these threads. i mostly read people's thoughts, but like to comment on an awesome scene or something similar on occasion

I'm not saying it's a fact, I'm just throwing it out there. I honestly don't know. Most of the ideas I put out there are ideas I'm sorting through in my head at that moment. I like the idea of him as a bastard because it adds a new level of intrigue to it all, but it doesn't really feel right to me. It's probably something like a recessive gene, some have it, some don't. Still, I want Dany's statement that he wasn't a TRUE Targaryen to mean something.

Of course, it could be a whole lot simpler. Immunity to fire may not translate to immunity to the heat from molten metals. Of course, that brings up a debate about what immunity to fire actually MEANS. That's why I was curious about wildfire, which seems a lot like napalm. Similar, but not quite the same.

I guess I had never considered it because he had the same hair as dany. BUT now that I think about it, maybe he was a Lannister bastard! He sure had their shitty attitude!
