I am planning on converting to the master race after I graduate but I want to play a few good games now. I used bootcamp to put windows on my mac but I am afraid that playing to many games will either ruin my mac or it will just look terrible because of the limited power.

What I want to know is if it is possible to spend a few bucks to upgrade my mac a little bit to play games better or should I just wait to graduate and drop $1000+ on a good PC?

I once played Diablo 3 on a macbook running a windows vm.

It was barely playable at low gfx settings. Booting straight into windows would obviously be a lot better than the vm.

Yeah, it's called buying another computer. A real one this time, unless you're a hipster, wannabe graphic designer who plans on "gaming" at Starbucks.

You can replace the HDD with an SSD and max the ram but realistically you're bound to the shitty GPU.

As already recommended just build a desktop PC, even a moderately priced desktop will match or better the upcoming consoles.

Yes.

I upgraded my RAM and put a SSD inside. That is about all you can do.

My MBP Specs:

2011 13.3" MBP
i5 SB @ 2.3?
8GB (2x4GB) 1333Mhz Corsair Vengenace (Max speed)
120GB OCZ Vertex 3
I love MBPssssssssssss Awesome laptops.
