Benzema + cash?
I see him as a backup, but again, I think he´s probably got some caché there, and cash probably wouldn´t be necessary.

That would equate to Monaco paying £50m+ for Benzema

Benzema would be enough, possibly too much.
What was the transfer fee? €65M?

AS Roma to swoop for Atlético de Madrid´s Adrián.
They will shell out €18M for the 25 year old Asturian striker, provided the Osvaldo (Southampton) and Lamela (Tottenham) loans are successfully executed.

Why would Roma loan these two?

I got that from calciomercato, so take it for what it´s worth.

Why would Roma loan these two?
Roma is trying desperately to sell Osvaldo not loan him. The situation between Osvaldo and a sizeable group of Roman Ultras has reached a crises point. The hold up is that Osvaldo wants to stay in Italy but the club refuses to sell him to another Serie A side and, so far, he's rejected all the clubs that have met the price (Wolfsburg, Southampton as well rebuffed interest from others supposedly).
He would, rumor has it, willingly move to a larger a London side like Tottenham and also Southampton is supposedly upping their proposed salary to try again to lure him.
It's too bad for Roma as he's MUCH more talented than any striker we'll likely get for anywhere near €20m but his presence has become a spectacle in the worst way so I suppose some loan with option deal would be possible but certainly not what Roma is hoping for. He was left off the friendly roster today so his move does seem immanent.
The Roma-Tottenham rumors are hard to figure out right now. It's been a running joke for the past few seasons how there's always been a "Tottenham interest" for almost every single Serie A player with a possibility of moving that always seem completely invented by agents.
However, there's reason to believe that something is up by the two meetings this week between Roma DS Sabatini and ex-DS Baldini, who's now in the same position with Tottenham.
It may be for an Osvaldo deal but Lamela's "entourage" also showed up at Roma's grounds, Trigoria, yesterday and Lamela came out to the press saying he's upset by rumors that he may be up for sale and that he has non desire to leave.
The conjecture is that, if the Tottenham meetings aren't about Osvaldo, they may be groundwork for Tottenham making an offer in the range of €40m for Lamela if Bale is sold.
Roma may think a figure in that range is too much to refuse like PSG's for Marquinhos. The Marquinhos sale really didn't meet with much criticism from fans since the club bought Benatia, whose probably a more sound CB at this point, and the promising 17yo CB Tin Jedvaj and still had €20m left over.
Pjanic to Tottenham is also making some rumor mills but that seems less likely in that our new manager loves Pjanic and does seem less convinced by Lamela so far who's had a bad summer and really tailed off after Zeman left last season.
Lamela won't be loaned though, there's absolutely no reason at all for the club to do that. If he moves, it's for a payday that the club thinks will allow them to improve more in the short term.
There's a lot of pressure from the owners to challenge for the CL right away.
