I have spent as much time as anyone in this thread at Walmart in the past few months. That's why I immediately suggested manager.
I can only imagine what you've been through

Ok I just tried another location and .22lr showed limited stock. The hand who answered the phone in sporting goods said they had none.... I'm glad this is working for other folks but so far I'm having difficulty putting this thing to good use...

I downloaded the Wally World app, but when I scan it says, "This barcode could not be resolved. Please check your internet connection and try again." My internet connection is fine, and I have location services turned on...any ideas? TIA

I just did a generic search and then checked availability on each result. Say do search for whatever caliber you are looking for

I'm showing .223 available in Bossier City (100 round box) and 22lr in Shreveport (250 round).

The app was right on the money with the Walmart I went to in BR

Good luck. I've used this method before and have struck out. Today I went to a Wally World and got the manager to run the UPC without telling her what I was looking for since the gun cabinet was empty. She said there was 8 in stock. So when I told her it wasn't on the shelves she asked what it was and I said ammo. She laughed and said they haven't had it in for a while. Pretty sure she lied
However I did find some hidden 45 and 7.62 behind some stuff
This was for the federal 100 count 223

Worked for me this morning in Hoover. 3 bricks of jhp .22's
On another note:
At a sporting goods store in Bessemer yesterday, they were 89 bucks for 500rds of targets.. I asked the guy who is buying... he said all (looked like about 25 boxes) would be sold by the time the doors closed. He was shaking his head with me.

'm showing some .22 in stock so I call the store and the guy says it's not there but it should hit tomorrow and to be there at 7:30 a.m. What say ye?
I just had the same thing happen in Florida. I went to the store and a clerk told me that they didn't have any. I then asked a guy in the automotive section who told me that they did get it in and it will be stocked tonight around 9 pm.
Then some random guy also at the gun counter said that he hits stores at 7 am and he has luck.
What was weird was that there were at least six people who where there all asking for the same .22 ammo. I think word is out and the Wal Marks employes are intentionally dragging their feet in stocking it. They are buying it themselves or getting friends to buy it. I heard that local pawn shops are buying it like crazy.
Bastards!

Oh, yeah, some funny business is going on for sure.
I looked at the app last night. Found some 50 rd boxes of Federal Lightning in stock at my local Wal Mart.
I got up this morning and checked, still in stock. So I figure I will go see if I can get my 3 boxes.
As normal, the ammo case was empty. So I show the lady behind the counter the ammo showing in stock on the app. She can't find it so she goes into the back to look for it.
She returns and said she asked the lady who normally works in Sporting Goods where to find it.
She said the lady told her that "That app is almost never right, that they didn't have it"
I call BS. A company as big as Wal-Mart surely keeps better control over their stock than that.
I checked a while ago and that ammo still shows in stock, so it is in the store somewhere...they are just holding it for someone else or themselves.

If they type in the UPC on the telxon and it shows in stock then its in the store either locked up in the gun room or in the managers office. That's what happened tome last time.
Night time manager locked it in managers office. Sporting goods manager went and looked in the back could not find it. She asked management if anyone seen it and manager said a box was in his office.
Sure enough there was 3 boxes federal 9mm, tula 7.62, .40, and a case of winchester .22lr.

Anyone know if they have set times for restock? College told my wife 7am but was curious if that may just be that location

After using this app the past few days at local Walmarts I am more convinced than ever that some employees are hiding / holding back ammo.
From here on out I am skipping the sporting goods department and going straight to Customer Service to have them look up the items.

Thanks. This worked. My local walmarks is showing the CCI 325 pack in stock and it wasn't this afternoon. I called and the guy said they were unloading the truck now and they would be on the shelf first thing in the morning. Looks like I'm making an early run tomorrow morning.
