I haven't read the last few issues. Did they ever get revenge on Negan?

Not yet. Jesus and Rick are like brothers now, and Ezekiel just got introduced, with a certain somebody behind the curtain. **SPOILER**
Dwight wants to hand Negan over to Rick.

Hopefully the guys over at R&L won't get angry with me sharing info, but here's a preview of issue 109. It's the start of the new story arch.

Created this meme for the show critics. Figured it would work as a bump.

C'mon Walking Dead readers, we're only 236 pages behind the crackpot ASOIAF thread.

Finally, watched the finale. Really enjoyed it. Sorry to lose Andrea was hoping she would change into the badass from the comic. I like the path Carl is taking should be a great # 4. Also love the Meme. No clearer truth....
I missed the finale episode night and avoided this board til I watched it. I came to the conclusion that Episode threads should be renamed NO SPOILERS to SPOILERS after the episode ends. All those screaming about spoilers are hypocrites.

I'll get a synopsis posted Wednesday when the new issue comes out.
There's an extended preview on the reader channel if you click the link. Something tells me Maggie is going to be the new leader of Hilltop in the future.

That would be cool. I still have a few issue to catch up on, but if I read a spoiler in here it will be my own fault for both starting and then reading the thread.

The last few are meh. Basically just finding out how Negan works and who he is. That plus Carl going rogue and fricking some people up.
Posted on 4/8/13 at 8:47 pm to thatguy1892
The part when Carl first arrived at Negan's compound and unloaded on everyone with the machine gun was badass.

Yeah, that's one thing the show seems to be doing is moving Carl's character development up REAL quick.

unfortunately TWD is pretty cut and dry with what's going on. I still need to read the last few, I believe the last one I read was where Rick and crew ran into Negan.

i read 1-75 over a yr ago and then someone clued me in on the youtube ones.
now i'm somewhere around 87 now. still in alexandria i guess. rick's in charge and carl is still laid up post zombie massacre cleanup.
wonder if they'll ever make it to this point on the show or merge this with other storylines...

I still think the show is at it's best when it has them on the road dealing with the uncertainty of zombies and random groups of people. But obviously they can only show that for so long and keep it interesting.
I think the Negan storyline could be great if they do him justice. AMC has watered down a lot of stuff. The comics are very dark, the show needs to get back to that. The Morgan episode this year was very good and it had a dark, creepy vibe the whole time.

Okay, sorry for the late post, but I almost forgot that 109 came out today and I just finished reading it. This is just the jist of it and I won't go into large details. ****Stop here if you don't want to know***
Maggie is still in grieving over the lost of Glenn. Ultrasound looks good. Sophia wants to "go back home," and Jesus shows up to talk to Maggie. They're making a move against Negan and Rick, Zeke, Jesus, and Dwight are going to attempt to bring the "fricking fricker, fricking down." Jesus makes plans to see that if anything funky goes down at Hilltop that he is well informed. Rick has a moment with Carl that I don't even want to spoil here. Also he talks to Michonne, who isn't happy about being left in the dark. Spencer, puffs his chest out, and gets laughed at. (At least by me. What a maroon.) Jesus introduces Maggie to the smithy at Hilltop and realizes he might have a made a mistake along the way.
Well like I said the jist. I thought it was a very good issue and seems it is the set up for the shite getting ready to hit the fan. Can't wait for 110. When the preview is out, I'll post the link to it.

Bumping this thread due to renewed interest in the comics.

So I got caught up on all the comics in about three days (literally about 12 hours of reading from teh start). I could NOT put the book down. I was suffering at work from staying up late to read them
I got the two compendiums and then bought volume 17. So I'll have to catch #103-108 in the next volume 18 I guess.
I showed my buddy teh part where MIchone tortures the governor. It is so awesome.
ETA: I found myself literally dropping the comic book at times and staring up at the ceiling saying 'holy shite' at certain points. Like when Carl got shot in the head and when Glenn got whacked by the bat. Those were truly "holy shite" moments

I read most of the run back to back to back like that and I totally believe you about dropping the book. Having no month break in between, as you'd normally have between issues, makes it where you never catch your breath. Then moments like that happen and you're like "HOLY frick!!".
It really is a fun, depressing, rage inducing read.
