What? I thought Louisiana was pretty solid at soccer.

not really. off the top of my head, i would say right around 25th which is probably where their population number lies as well.

The birmingham/huntsville areas have some pretty good talent.

Just curious, why 25th? And what other reasons besides population?

Aren't you from Georgia? How do you have any idea how good LA soccer is? I grew up in the lake Charles area and at the time STL was churning out lapiras, but baseball was king, football also very popular. New Orleans, Laffy and Shreveport have pretty good soccer.

I have absolutely no idea where we would stand on a state by state ranking, but without a big D1 program it's hard to say. I feel like you 100% guessed lol I will say that I lived in WI my 9th- 11th grade years and their soccer was much better, they have the same amount of electoral college votes as LA so I'm going to assume the populations are similar.

I would say the kids in LA who play soccer aren't really that bad, problem is not that many kids play.

Like I said I would have no idea where to rank the state 1-50, but there are some pretty god damn good players to come through ie lapira, Mullins, George the Greek and Henderson hands lol
