With some caveats, though. I would literally never own a motherboard that didn't have *at least* debug lights, but ideally debug codes. I also likely wouldn't own one that didn't have a dedicated clear cmos button. And having a sans-cpu bios flash ability would likely round out my list of must haves. There could be something else, but I can't think of anything at the moment.

Even ignoring higher performance concerns like vrm and pcie lanes, those quality of life features are worth the $30 it would take for me to get to something like this:

You go way overboard with some of your thought processes

But I guess when I started building you had to get ultra premium stuff to get those features. You were lucky to have any of that on Z67 boards
